About Shia Online Quran Academy

Rooted in the teachings of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (a.s) — serving the global Shia Muslim community with authentic, accessible, and excellence-driven Quranic education.

Who We Are

Rooted in Faith,
Committed to Excellence

"Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim."
— Prophet Muhammad (PBUH & his family)

At Shia Online Quran Academy (OSQA), we believe every Shia Muslim — no matter where they live — deserves access to high-quality, authentic Islamic and Quranic education. We were founded by a group of dedicated Shia scholars and educators who recognised the growing need for reliable online Islamic learning tailored specifically to the Jaffari school of thought.

Our platform bridges the distance between students across the Americas, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia with verified scholars trained at renowned institutions in Qom, Najaf, and Pakistan. Through live 1-on-1 video classes, we deliver the same intimacy and depth of traditional Islamic study circles — digitally, at any time zone.

Mission & Vision

Building a future where authentic Jaffari education flows freely around the globe.

Our Mission

To provide accessible, high-quality Quranic and Islamic education grounded in the pure teachings of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (a.s). We aim to make authentic Shia scholarship available to every Muslim family across the globe — regardless of their geographical location, language, or age.

We achieve this through rigorous teacher selection, structured course curricula, and a technology-forward online delivery model that makes learning simple, safe, and effective.

Our Vision

To become the world's most trusted and comprehensive online Shia Islamic education institution — a digital seminary where knowledge flows freely to every corner of the earth.

We envision a world where every Shia child grows up reciting the Quran beautifully, understanding its meanings, and living according to the Fiqh and wisdom of the Masoomen (a.s). OSQA is building that future, one student at a time.

The Story Behind OSQA

A journey born from a global community's need for authentic connection.

Shia Online Quran Academy began with a simple but powerful observation: millions of Shia Muslims living in Western countries, Africa, and East Asia had limited access to qualified Shia teachers for themselves and their children. Local mosques were few, dedicated Shia Quranic schools were rare, and trusted online alternatives were almost non-existent.

A small team of scholars, educators, and technology enthusiasts came together with a shared conviction — that the internet could be used as a vehicle for ilm (knowledge) and tarbiyah (moral upbringing). They built a simple but rigorous platform: careful teacher selection, structured syllabi based on Shia scholarship, and live 1-on-1 classes conducted via Zoom and Skype.

Today, OSQA has grown from a handful of teachers into a thriving academic community spanning over 26 countries. We remain committed to the same founding principles: authenticity, accessibility, and academic excellence — always in the path of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (a.s).
